I am so sorry to hear about Harriette's passing. It is hard to believe that so much time has passed. She was my lovely sister-in-law. I can almost hear her giggle when I look at the photos you have posted. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteI can see her now headed for the beach at Crystal Lake, 345 South Shore. Craig was always preoccupied with getting the boat ready (which could take days). Not Harriette! With her brood of three in tow she went straight to the beach. She wore a large straw hat, carried a straw bag of towels and had an arm load of inflated beach toys. She was always organized, composed and smiling. You three children were the light of her life and she was a wonderful mother.
Reading this blog has made me realize how sweetly tied all of our lives have been. I hope that you, Peter and David are comforted by the knowledge that you were deeply loved by your mother. With fond regards, Aunt Kell Ann Redhead
